Practical application of clinical physical assessment skills will be the major focus of this course. Content will begin with a technique for history-taking and then assess selected major body systems. Formerly: HO 266. Prerequisite(s):BIOL& 241 and BIOL& 242 or instructor permission. Course Outcomes:
Demonstrate accurate history taking and physical assessment skills.
Determine appropriate clinical application of physical assessment skills.
Accurately assess the various body systems, with an emphasis on major systems such as cardiac, neurological, pulmonary and GI/GU.
Correctly use medical terminology to describe assessment findings.
